Self-aligning double row ball bearings are designed for applications with severe misalignment in mounting or shaft deflection. The concave raceway of the outer ring combined with the two rows of balls allows operation over a wide range of contact angles. Additionally, it aligns correctly with the shaft and assembly without undue stress on the rest of the bearing assembly.

Standard self-aligning double row ball bearings are produced with straight bores; however, tapered bores are available upon request. It is worth noting that self-aligning ball bearings have the lowest friction of all rolling bearings and can operate at lower temperatures even at high speeds. In addition, the design is easy to install and remove.

Double row self-aligning ball bearings, the inner ring has two raceways, the outer ring has a spherical raceway, the center of curvature coincides with the axis of the bearing, and has self-aligning performance. Therefore, when the mechanical bearing is bent under load or the axis of the inner ring is inclined relative to the axis of the outer ring due to machining and installation errors, the normal operation of the mechanical device can still be guaranteed. Double row self-aligning ball bearings are mainly used to bear radial loads, but they can also bear smaller axial loads while mainly bearing radial loads, but cannot bear pure axial loads.
